I also tried the Hackintosh with a 7800 GTX card, however openmark recorded exactly the same score for this as it did for the 7900 GS

Update!

I swapped my 533 ram at my local computer emporium to Corsair 800 ram which has now allowed me to overclock to 3GHz with my 2.13 Core 2 Duo. By setting the front Side bus to 1.5 Gigs (faster than a Mac Pro - Pro is 1.33) this allowed me to set the memory multiplyer down in the bios back to 800. This is going like a rocket now.

The Linksys WMP 300n PCI wireless n card is plug and go with the new Airport 2007 update that Apple posted yesterday This adds support for new Atheros chips. You may have to redo any edititing that you had performed to get any other pci network cards going though. It is still only 54g until Apple presumably release their driver enableing n

I recently had the opportunity to borrow a Quad Core Intel "Kentsfield" processor & take it for a drive in my Hack Pro! I would have liked to have overclocked it as the multiplyer on these is unlocked which means with the right cooling you could be looking at some great speed without the usual associated fsb overclock problems, however the processors owner was not to keen on me melting half a grands worth silicon. Shame!

The processor was fully recognised, just look at that L2 cache below! It ran like a knife through butter. I really need want one of these. I will put some tests up soon.

Ok, I persuaded my friend into a little gentle overclocking on the Quad core, as I explained before, the multiplyer on this processor is unlocked as standard. Well Quad 3.2 GHz was easily achieved as you can see below. This equates to a 12x multiplyer. This is unlocked & could be clocked to 16x!!!!! With my watercooling setup, temps never went over 37 degrees. Eat your heart out Apple!

After a Doom 3 session the highest I could get the "Kentsfield" temp up to with watercooling was 35 degrees C. This was running at 3.2 GHz! See Below.
