Get Wireless n on a Hackintosh.

I have been trying for a while to get wireless n on my hackintosh, but it seemed like the only cards around that will work natively as Airport Exteme Wireless n cards are the mini pcie type of card that Apple uses in their current range of macs or the virtually identical Dell laptop card. The problem is that no pc motherboards have mini pcie slots. Well, I finally found an adapter from Orbit micro that converts a pcie x1 slot into a mini Pcie slot. Here it is.......

Well, you are still going to need some sort of antenna.

Once again, ebay came to the rescue here, it seems there are a number of people selling them, they are sold in pairs

The above capture shows the card is recognised as an Apple card and is natively supported as a Airport Extreme wireless n card! The antenna need to be mounted on the outside of the case, however the reception is impressive, one of Wireless n strong points.
